Blizzards Fine Jewellers

Is a Family Business Established in Shepparton in 1994

Craig has only every worked in the Jewellery Industry and began his working life as a 15-year-old at F C Johns Jewellers in Shepparton, a family Jewellers that was in Shepparton for 104 years. He began as an engraver, became a watch and clock maker before taking over as the Store Manager and later becoming General Manager to their Shepparton, Bendigo, Ballarat and Kyabram stores.

In 1994 Craig and his wife Lyn established their own store in Shepparton which is where Blizzards Fine Jewellers was born, initially with just the two of them now employing up to 10 staff. Craig completed a Jewellery Design Course at RMIT in Melbourne the same year which is now used daily designing and creating one off pieces for clients from all around Australia… Lyn used her previous office skills to control the business side and with her natural sense of fashion and design, purchases exciting ranges of jewellery from Australia and around the world. Their travels have taken them to many world Jewellery Fairs and in 2007 were awarded an Antwerp Diamond Broker Status at the World Diamond Centre in Antwerp Belgium.

Their daughter Kara joined them full time in 2010 and brings another view to fashion and design to their business and with her father they comb the world for quality and affordable diamonds with parcels arriving weekly. Kara says “ This is the only way to compete on what is now a world market and our clients come from all over Australia as we have to keep up with price, quality and service.

Blizzards have added a specific Jewellery Design Centre in their store and it houses their world leading computer design system “Countersketch” which was the first system to be imported into Australia. Also their world class Photography Lab now allows them to photograph old and new Jewellery for design and marketing purposes. The “Diamond Storm” Design Centre allows individuals and couples to view the latest design in complete privacy.
